Facts about Baby Video Monitor

Baby Video Monitors represent the next generation of baby monitoring. They are products relatively new on the market and they use last hour technology. This devices vary a lot from model to mode, each of them with its characteristics and features.

There are lots of baby monitors types. Their first general characteristics divides them into the followings categories: digital or analogue sound, video or movement monitors.

Let's have a look at the baby sound monitors. They can be found in both analogue and digital models. The first ones are less expensive but good in quality though. Purchasing such a device, you may also want to receive multiple receivers, belt clips or long distance reception. Some of them are capable of catching wireless signal and some of them may come with rechargeable batteries. The digital models have the same options, but the quality of the sound is a little bit improved, the reception range is bigger and the interferences from radio or other devices are less. An out of range indicator would also be very useful.

The latest invention when it comes to such devices is the digital 2.4 GHz, which is completely different from the old analogue 2.4 GHz. The system is very useful because makes the device immune to any wind of interferences, so it can be perfectly used in a wi-fi networks area. However, the maximum range is the same as the older model. Using this advanced system, you will not have to worry about avoiding interferences.

Another advantage of the digital 2.4 GHz is that you have more privacy, because it is almost impossible for any other monitor to view the camera. People using this devices have had some unusual surprises when other strangers have intercepted the frequency.

In order to be sure a Baby Monitor is digital it has to contain in its name the word "digital". If it doesn't, then it is not digital.

An interesting feature of the Baby Video Monitor is the night vision. Every normal human being, including the babies rest better if they sleep with the lights off. This system manages to get clear images with the baby even if it is completely dark in the room. The technology is very advanced, so the infrared lights do not disturb the sleep or the eyes of the baby. This is very ingenious and also very beneficial for the baby. The advanced feature of automatic night vision on/of allows the device to turn on or off the night vision when necessary.

Another interesting fact is that night vision has no color. In complete dark, the camera will provide non-color images. However, the system is very similar to those used by military, providing a very clear image of your baby. The only night vision disadvantage is the very low range. The camera is not able to offer high quality images in total dark with object at a distance of over 3 meters.
